British Cattle Movement Service (BCMS) DNA testing now only £20 + VAT per sample
Cattle producers can now appeal against the refusal of a cattle passport by using DNA testing.
If producers have been refused a cattle passport because the application was late, they can ask the BCMS for a review of the decision. They may do a DNA test after a written appeal is unsuccessful or opt for a DNA test straightaway.
Producers who wish to do a DNA test for a BCMS passport refusal appeal should contact BCMS in the first instance, then Innovis for sample collectors and submission forms. A vet needs to take the samples and sign the BCMS DNA test form.
For full information go to our BCMS Page or download our BCMS Info for Producers flyer.
