The Equine FECPAK System
Interest in FECPAK is growing rapidly within the equine sector. Wormers are used regularly in the care of horses, but the over-use of wormers is beginning to reveal an increase in the resistance of worms to the wormers being used. With FECPAK you can monitor your horse (s) for worms and only treat your horse when it is actually needed.
The Equine FECPAK offers horse owners the opportunity to have instant and accurate knowledge of the worm status of their animals and pastures. By eliminating unnecessary treatments you can save time and money and be confident that you are using a product which is effective. Results may also indicate that you are not dosing at the right times, so the system allows you to monitor worm burdens and eliminate them when they start to rise, minimising the damage that the worms do to your animals and your pastures.
FECPAK - a simple system for your stable
FECPAK allows you to do “on the spot” parasite assessments. FECPAK has been designed to be used on the yard and is a customized, purpose-built product containing all of the equipment and information needed for doing quick and accurate FEC. The FECPAK system is simple to use and tests take around 15 minutes to complete.

A study by the University of Bristol and published in the Veterinary Record in 2005 validated the superior ease and accuracy of undertaking faecal egg counts (FEC) using the FECPAK method versus the traditional McMaster method used by veterinarians and laboratories around the world.
