Meet the team

Issy Hartley

Technical Sales Adviser

Issy joined Innovis in May 2021 as our main muscle and backfat scanning technician travelling across the UK. Issy has also been attending events and helping the ram production team for the past year.

The family farm in Pendle is 450 acres and runs 1000 sheep on a regenerative system where all ewes are lambed outside. Composite tups are used and all lambs are finished off grass. The family also have a prominent pedigree flock of Blue Texels and Zwartbles as well as a herd of pedigree British Blue cattle. Throughout the summer, Issy enjoys showing the sheep and cattle at local agricultural shows and has been judging at shows up and down the country. Issy has a sound technical base and a great eye for stock.

Northern England & Scottish Borders Testimonial

“We are running the farm as a business; whilst we enjoy the job, we have to make a profit.”

“We introduced a strategy featuring the Aberfield maternal sire to breed our own replacements – we’re heading towards a three-quarter bred Aberfield cross Mule. The Aberfield cross shearling ewes this year scanned an average 177%, These motherly ewes lick their lambs and let them suck without batting an eye lid, they’ve well suspended udders and neatly placed teats that are easy to latch on to saving us time helping out newborn lambs, and they’ve plenty of milk solely from grazed grass supplemented with Magnesium licks”
