7th January 2025 – Breed for CH4nge
Join Dr Janet Roden and Emma Dods as they discuss Breed for CH4nge and its aim to develop EBVs for innovative environmental traits. Innovis is leading the Breed for CH4nge project funded through DEFRA’s Farming Innovation Programme.
21st January 2025 – Sheep: A sustainable solution for regenerative farming systems
Matt Harding and Will Oliver will join Dewi Jones to discuss how sheep can provide a solution for regenerative farming systems. Matt and Will will discuss how they work together as sheep and arable farmers.
4th February 2025 – Becky Willson, Farm Carbon Toolkit
Becky Willson from Farm Carbon Toolkit will join Dewi Jones to discuss the work she does as part of her role as well as discussing her Nuffield Scholar on communicating carbon reduction schemes to farmers.
18th February 2025 – Meet the breeders that produce the Innovis rams
CEO, Dewi Jones will be joined by Thomas Hartley and Sam Edwards, who have recently become Innovis breeding partners. They will both talk about the role they play in breeding rams for Innovis.
4th March 2025 – Genetic or not genetic: busting the myths
Innovis geneticists, Dr Janet Roden and Kim Hay will join Dewi Jones to discuss the heritability of various traits and how Innovis use this information within the breeding programme.
